Because of time restrictions I decided to go to Kmart one last time today 18/11 and made a conscious decision to not accept any additional services that they thought were necessary, they got me again for the third and final time. I ended up paying 500+AUD for semi synthetic oil, oilfilter and air filter change and wheel alignment. The whole job probably took them less than one hour and the material used cost them less than 100AUD which means they charged me for around 400aud per hour on top of material. Again they tried to upsell by offering to clean my air intake using a sprayer which I refused. I would have liked to trust them but next time I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere and planning ahead. To be fair the employees are generally friendly and systematic and the work is done quickly, yet my gripe.is mainly with the value for money, the continuous upselling and how what you get doesn't match what you see. Shame, the system seemed ok if it weren't for that.

Took my 3 year old car in last year for it's logbook service. Kmart listed off many problems which apparently needed fixing to the total of $1100, I told them to just service it. Took the car elsewhere recently and amazingly the new mechanic couldn't find these issues. Either my car fixed itself or these mechanics are full of it.

My first service was here about 6 months ago, as my driving instructor said he often used this Kmart franchise. The receptionist-cum-manager was not friendly at all and always grumpy, though the mechanic in charge of my car appeared honest and straightforward. They didn't have good coordination. The manager said they would flip the back 2 wheels with the front 2 after they change the flat tyre. When I came back to get the car, I asked the mechanic in charge if he had done it, and he said his manager didn't inform him so. Sigh. 6 months later, I tried another outlet at Rosanna station, that one is much better.

This is the first time I have ever left a Google review. I am a rep; therefore, driving a lot in my car. I had my car here around 4 months ago for a service, tyre rotation and alignment. When I dropped the car in, I just reminded the gentleman what was required and he wrote it down in front of me. I asked what time the car would be ready for collection and I was informed that the car would be good to go around 5pm. At 4pm I phoned to be informed the car had not had anything done to it because my boyfriend apparently phoned earlier in the day and cancelled all works on the car. I don't have a boyfriend and after informing the gentleman over the phone this, he kept insisting that someone had phoned on my behalf and told them not to perform anything on the car. What the hell? I was rather polite about it and just requested the service, wheel alignment and rotation be completed. I was informed I wouldn't be able to collect my car until the next day which as a rep was a huge inconvenience. When I went to collect my car, I asked if everything had been done and I was assured.

I have just taken my car to another mechanic for my service and had concerns regarding my back two tyres (which had only been replaced 2 months prior to my service with these guys) as the inner parts of the tyre were literally bald. They put the car up and had a look and the wheels had been rotated and NOT aligned. These were brand new tyres that I have only got 6ish months out of. The lovely mechanic explained to me what had been missed and now I am out of pocket $200. Thanks, Kmart Tyre and Auto Northland. I work in a service delivery industry also and if I provided the same crappy service you did, I would lose my job.

I did log book service here a couple of times. On both times I was told additional things need to be done. Assuming they're honest, I agreed on both instances, yet found the following later: 1. On the first time I was told my brake pad rotors needed machining and the brake pads would need to be replaced the following time, I agreed and had them both done but next time (8000 Kms later, I was told the brakes were OK still), hmmm 2. On my second services I was told repeatedly my tires weren't road worthy because of uneven wear, I asked whether the tread was worn out and was told it's unroadworthy and I would be stopped by the police and fined if I didn't change it, I agreed over the phone, just to come to the shop later and find the tyre tread ok, the markers were still intact, and there was only a little bit of wear on one side due to misalignment but nothing that would be deemed unroadworthy, also I found one of the 'new' tyres installed one year older than the other, when I expressed concerns, I was just billed and told its normal practice, I later email the company but got no response. Won't be going there again, seems dodgy.
